By being able to do this, you will give yourself less directly stressful conditions.

There will always be the temptation for motivated people to use this free day for catching up on something you have to do at a later time, but there are serious health benefits to just giving your mind a day off once in a while.

If you are not able to remove yourself from it at all, it might be time to consider a different work arrangement altogether.

Exercise releases chemicals in your brain that help you to feel more confident and happy. While it might also just be a good idea for your physical well-being, working out can also eliminate some of the harder stresses that you are carrying around on your back.

You might be surprised to know that just laughing can release chemicals in your brain that make your entire life a little bit better. That’s why the adage has always been “laughter is the best medicine”. It might not literally cure anything, but it is responsible for a jolt of positivity that lasts long after the laugh itself. So while you might not get rid of the stress through laughing, you might be able to alleviate its damaging effects.

9. Find A Higher Power

There are a lot of people that tend to turn to religious factions when they are faced with some of their worst stress and anxiety. There is something soothing about a higher power with ears that will listen to all of your biggest problems and concerns as you navigate through the pitfalls of life. Whether you believe in such an entity or not, statistics have shown that those who do tend to live their lives with less stress overall than those that do not rely on a deity.

This in a way falls back onto the 7th suggestion, finding someone to help carry the burden of your stress with you. For those that might not have that kind of relationship with someone else, it is for most equally effective to look to God.

While you might be juggling dozens of different things all at once, remember that you have to make sure that you are physically and mentally prepared to handle them all the time.
